There are so many stunning images it’s very difficult to select consensus favorites.

👉🏻 To differentiate from last year, we decided to include an unique criteria this year; “posing”. In other words, the main subjects are posing/aware of the photo, rather than just “in it”
We’re not proposing that’s right or wrong, better or worse. We simply used that to help us differentiate amongst so many great images, and to highlight the passion for photography by all involved in the image. We did that in part because we felt these “winners” would appreciate the benefits of Outex to unleash their passion further thru the use of cameras & lenses that help remove any limits on what can be captured.

The quality and scope of the photos is tremendous!, and it was very difficult to narrow it down….let alone select a preference.
OUTEX teams in Europe and USA are impressed and torn!

“Between a Rock & a Hard Place”: An image that elicited much emotional reactions from our staff!
this image seemed to capture so many attributes of canyoning: adventure, skill, knowledge, perseverance, teamwork, humanity, & beauty.
While there are elements of photographic integrity that depict framing, composition, depth of field, shutter speed, and focus, the image ultimately illustrates humanity against the beauty, thrills, and challenges of nature at a particular point in time that’s metaphorical to what photography means in all of our lives.

Amazing juxtaposition of elements coming together; water, rock, gravity, seemed like a great metaphor for the sport of canyoning.
